| General note | Industrialization has a major role to play in economic development in the development countries like India. The most pressing need of many developing countries of the world today is rapid industrialization for achieving basic objectives of their economic and social progress and for raising the living standards of the people. the process of Industrialisation involves those basic chances which raise productivity of factors which would result in high average income. Industrialisation also helps in increasing prosperity of a country and provides employment for skilled semi skilled unskilled labour.The Government of India has been encouraging heavy industries only in the field where they are absolutely necessary. Development of Small Scale Industries is a happy blend of automation and primitive ways of production. The role of village and small-scale industries int the development of national economy has been stressed by the Government of India in its industrial policy Resolution of 1956 and in the successive Five year plan documents. The main advantage of small-scale industries is that that they provide large scale employment. |
