Post liberalization, India has unleashed its entrepreneurial talent. Thousands of entrepreneurs were born in the last decade itself and many of them have made global marks. Though David McClelland and team had demonstrated nearly fifty years ago in India that entrepreneurs could be developed through psychological education, and the Gujarat experience demonstrated beyond doubt the same thing, entrepreneurial education was limited to a few select institutions. However, post liberalization, several universities and institutions in India are offering courses on entrepreneurship. This book, Entrepreneurship: A South-Asian Perspective, deals with various facets of entrepreneurship and is meant to meet the requirements of management and commerce students of various universities across the country.
