This three-volume work is accepted as the standard dissection manual in medical schools. Each volume can also be used as a regional textbook of gross anatomy. The fifteenth edition appears in a new format. The text has been redesigned to make it more accessible to the studen, to highlight new terms and to set the dissection guide apart from the main text. The illustrations are either new or have been improved. Material has been added on embryology, organogenesis and congenital malformations of clinical significance. New imaging and diagnostic techniques such as CT scanning have been included as an introduction to the usefulness of these methods and to help the student appreciate the close packing of the various structures of the body.
